課程概述	本課程旨在教授人文地理學的基礎概念，尤其從文化地理學的理論視角，切入幾個重要的研究主題，涵蓋後殖民、性別、階級、自然與都市等。除了引導修課學生對人文地理學有初步認識之外，本課程亦試圖透過文獻研讀與討論，梳理文化地理學的發展歷程及其所介入的重要爭辯。在課程設計上共分四單元。首先從文化作為地理學的研究課題開始，介紹1980年代地理學的文化轉向，從中說明視覺研究的重要性。文化轉向不僅影響了地理學的方法論，更讓地理學重思構成地景的權力關係。接著引介的是有關權力關係的討論，包括後殖民、性別與階級等議題，例如日本時代所拍攝的紀錄片中所再現的台灣，或者早期百貨公司的性別政治等。第三單元則聚焦社會與自然之間的關係，將探討動物地理學以及生態觀光等相關研究。最後，都市是當前人類主要的活動地區，本課程將在第四單元中介紹「漫遊者」、縉紳化以及公共空間的政治，深入都市日常生活的肌理。
課程目標	本課程將引導修課學生培養人文地理學的基本素養，目標有三。首先，認識文化地理學的發展脈絡，並理解其如何介入既有議題的討論；其次，理解文化、社會與自然如何作為地理學關切的重要議題；最後，學習以地理學的觀點批判性地檢視日常生活的現象。
